Mother 2 / Earthbound is a game which has become more popular over time with the western audience and has had a long following within Japan. Graphically it does not set any benchmarks, it's audio visual simplicity adds to it. The game itself is quite long, and was considered difficult enough for Nintendo of America to provide a complete walk through in a players guide provided in the game.
