This was always a favourite. Even when we had Daytona, Sega Rally & Scud Racer to replace it, I still found it enjoyable. This Model 1 arcade board game comes to reside on the Mega Drive with the power of the SVP chip.
The Mega Drive version of Virtua Racing fell short of the arcade original. This can be purely attributed to the lack of processing power provided by the Mega Drive. The SVP chip compensated as well as it could without making the price completely ridiculous (but it came close).
