Memory card with mono LCD display, speaker and Sanyo LC8670 "Sega Potato" CPU. For it's time it really was something to be seen.
Originally named Visual Memory System in Japan and development. Named changed to Visual Memory Unit in the US due to copyright conflict. Shortened to Visual Memory in Europe which was also adopted in Japan eventually.
